Highlights of Appropriation (Amendment) Bill 2022
• Revenue to GDP to increase to 15% by 2025
• Interest rates to normalize in the medium term
• Value Added Tax will be increased from 12% to 15% from the 1st of September 2022
• Plans to strengthen the social safety net
• All taxes introduced in May’22 to continue through out
• Retirement age to be brought down to 60 yrs for both government and semi government
• Electric vehicles to be promoted to be used for government sector use
